The Medium Srl publisher requires from all its employees and collaborators an individual behavior based on honesty and transparency, which are the common values ​​that guide and unite us.

ETHICS OF JOURNALISTS

In particular, journalists who write for the publications published by Medium Srl are required to comply with the self-discipline code of the Order of Journalists, based on ethics documents such as:

• Journalist’s charter of duties
• Charter of Florence
• Milan Charter
• Card of Perugia
• Charter of Rome
• Treviso Charter
• Code of ethics relating to journalistic activities

Journalists must also attend refresher courses organized by the Order of Journalists on issues of professional ethics and deontology.

Journalists must guarantee behavior towards readers based on the utmost intellectual honesty and towards the publisher in the absence of any conflict of interest in the performance of their function, which always has as its objective the knowledge of the truth of the facts.

SOURCES

For the preparation of each news, sources of proven reliability must be used, also resorting to multiple sources whenever possible. Anonymous sources whose contribution can give rise to a journalistic investigation are not considered reliable, but whose contributions must always be verified in order to have reliable feedback.

DIVERSITY

The Medium srl publisher guarantees the absence of any discrimination based on sex, race, nationality, age, state of disability, religion, political opinion, sexual orientation, economic condition.

Different points of view coexist in the editorial office, which are seen as an enrichment of knowledge in order to offer more complete and balanced articles, far from the ‘screams’ of ideological conflict.

SAFETY

Medium srl undertakes to offer a safe workplace in compliance with all applicable legal provisions.

Journalists who suffer threats of any kind are assisted by lawyers made available to the publishing company and above all they are never left alone morally.

At any time, each individual employee can report a violation of this Code of Ethics verbally or in writing to the administrator or manager responsible, who have the responsibility to intervene immediately to ascertain what has been reported and to implement all measures that can eliminate the reported problem.
